Hello, my name is Daria and this is where I keep track of my projects. I'm a recent Computer Science graduate and I'm super passionate about 3D art and making videogames. I learn best by doing, and I'm writing all about it here.
I'm currently in the process of founding a VR software company along with my good friends Nicklas and Vesi, check out our website.
This site was made by the wonderful Kuda. His work is linked in the navigation bar. Thanks Kuda!

September Dump
- Aqueduct: feature used: compositor paint node
- Space station: megastructures via displacement maps
- Cryptid: dither node
- Cyberpunk: hologram shader
This month I tried making renders that force me to use a feature of Blender I was unfamiliar with:
Aqueduct: I tried out this new painterly look and I think it looks so cool! The ground is just a plane with a hair emitter on it, and I added 2 people on top of the structure (I was inspired loosely by Roman aqueducts) to try to get a sense of scale.
Space station: I saw a tutorial on YouTube about using displacement maps as a way to create random looking tiny buildings and it's really fun. I got a greyscale image full of squares, UV unwrapped the models in my scene I wanted to "add buildings to" and slapped the displacement modifier on them. It's super quick! I made this render inspired by Elite Dangerous bases.
Cryptid: You can dither in Blender directly nowadays! Not as fun as Studio AAA's DitherBoy, which I like using a lot, but still nice. I was challenged by a friend to make a Cryptid (I don't know what that is) and I put this super duper quick scene together.
Cyberpunk: I've been playing Cyberpunk, can you tell? I had fun making this render and tried this new hologram shader setup for the fish and the eye. I've got a long way to go with lighting...
